YA ArtScale works with hotels, developers, architects, interior designers, and owners to integrate contemporary art into architectural environments.

Our role extends beyond artwork selection. We consider scale, placement, proportion, material, framing, and the relationship between art and space from the earliest stages of a project through final installation.

Art Curation

We develop a focused selection of contemporary art in response to the character, architecture, and identity of each property.

Rather than presenting an extensive catalogue, we work with a carefully selected group of artists and propose works with a clear reason for being in the space.

Art Direction

We establish an overall curatorial direction for the project and translate it across different areas of the property.

Public spaces, guestrooms, suites, restaurants, bars, and other key locations are considered individually while remaining part of a coherent whole.

Scale & Placement

Artwork is evaluated in relation to the architecture itself.

We study wall proportions, sightlines, circulation, furniture, lighting, and viewing distance to determine the appropriate location, size, orientation, and visual weight of each work.

Material & Presentation

We advise on the physical presentation of the work, including:

Print and fabrication methods · framing · shadow gaps · mounting · finishes · scale · edition requirements

Each decision is considered as part of the architectural environment rather than as an isolated object.

Production & Installation Coordination

Once the artwork is approved, YA ArtScale coordinates the transition from digital proposal to finished installation.

We work with artists, fabricators, printers, framers, and project teams to help maintain the intended visual result through production and installation.

01 — Consultation
Understanding the property, design direction, spatial requirements, budget, and project objectives.

02 — Art Direction
Establishing the curatorial approach and identifying the appropriate visual character for the project.

03 — Proposal
Presenting selected artworks in context, including scale and placement within the proposed spaces.

04 — Selection & Development
Refining the proposal with the client and resolving artwork, size, material, and presentation.

05 — Production
Coordinating artwork preparation, fabrication, framing, and related production requirements.

06 — Installation
Supporting final placement and installation to preserve the intended relationship between art and architecture.
