We focus on contemporary art with a distinct visual identity and a clear underlying idea. Our selection is deliberately small and highly curated, favoring work that can hold its own within architecture while continuing to reveal itself over time.

Why an Artist- and Architect-Led Approach Matters

YA ArtScale is founded and led by artist and architect Yasuo Oda, whose architectural practice spans nearly four decades in Japan and the United States. This dual perspective allows us to consider art not as an object added to a finished interior, but as part of the architecture itself.

Scale, proportion, material, light, circulation, and spatial hierarchy are considered alongside the character of the artwork. The question is not simply which work is compelling, but where, how, and at what scale it should exist.
